Surveys, Design & Stress Analysis
Here, at Support Systems, we like to provide our customers with the best possible support, providing site surveys and professional solutions to the mechanical services engineering sector. A detailed site survey allows us to offer accurate 3D CAD Design to our customers in AutoCAD format which can be supplied and used in our customers drawings as part of a clean, efficient, and impressive approval process from their client.
We work closely with local structural engineers who take our designs, on our customers request, and calculate their official structural feasibility - cheaply, quickly, and professionally.
Fabrication and manufacture
From our in-house Fabrication Workshop, we cut punch, sheer, bend, weld and apply a range of finishes to mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and nylon. Our team of coded welders and skilled fabricators allow us to achieve our complex design solutions to suit your unique situation using our TIG and MIG stations.
We have a range varying from metalworkers to hydraulic presses, with capacities of up to 40mm thick mild steel plate. As well as being able to roll up to 20mm thick and 100mm wide mild steel.
Woodwork and insulation
Our skilled wood shop operatives may offer hardwood insulation blocks ranging from 15mm to 900mm diameter pipework, usually combined with brackets that will be supporting high or low temperature pipework to create a safe environment. Working closely with our suppliers has allowed us to offer FSC ® certified American Tulip wood as well as uncertified Obeche, Wawa and phenolic insulation.
For extreme high temperature situations, we are also proud to be able to offer our customers our calcium blocks or calcium lined hardwood blocks. These products are usually used in conjunction with steam, condense water and LTHW mains.
Extras we can offer are foil lined blocks to vapour seal and heat traces in positions of your choice for tracking heat-loss and errors along the pipeline.

With ex stock items delivered Next Day, and Timed Deliveries accommodated to suit customer requirements, we guarantee to work promptly and reliably, to benefit the needs of all our customers. We use a combination of our own company vehicles, next day carriers and hired artic trucks to ensure your order arrives on time, no matter the size and weight.
